![]() CONSULTANTS Building on the expertise that the Enersus engineering team has developed over many years, we are able to provide a wide level of support to consulting firms. Enersus has a strong history in deploying wireless based technology, particularly in the area of 2G and 3G Mobile Phone Coverage, Wireless LAN utilizing both 802.11b/g and 802.11a standards, plus the many application services that are supported over these technologies including Real Time Location Based Services, Paging Systems, Telemetry and WiMAX. Enersus has provided templates for use in construction specifications and tenders. These templates have assisted in defining both current and future wireless technologies that will contribute to the overall value of the finished product. It is often difficult for consultancy firms to keep across the continual changes in building standards, but it is even more challenging to maintain a relevant knowledge of the next generation of wireless technologies used by service providers. There have been cases in recent years where a construction specification states the need for technology that is approaching its end-of-life and has been superseded by the next generation of wireless technology. This is common in the area of 2G and 3G Mobile Phone technology, however even though 3G is currently considered the new technology, it will evolve into 4G technology in the very near future. The other most common area where technology is often out-dated is Wireless LAN related application services. Voice over WiFi requires specific QoS parameters, Real Time Location Based Services requires minimum signal strength and infrastructure, and the great complexity of channel and dynamic power management is putting ever increasing demand on a limited unlicensed bandwidth.
