Justice Precinct - Parramatta

PARRAMATTA JUSTICE PRECINCTFollowing 2 years of design and implementation, Enersus has successfully completed the indoor wireless system for the newly opened Parramatta Justice Precinct, located in the western suburbs of Sydney, Australia. Parramatta is the 6th largest city in Australia and with the opening of the Parramatta Justice Precinct is now host to the second largest legal facility in Australia. The precinct comprises 4 campus style buildings providing a combination of Children and Trial Courts, Attorney Generals Department, Legal Administration and various community focussed legal support services.

To ensure the precinct had seamless in building mobile coverage, Enersus was contracted by Star Electrical, under the direction of Multiplex, to implement a system that was capable of supporting all of Australia's cellular carriers; being Telstra, Optus, Vodafone & Hutchison. The project took place at a time when traditional 2G technology was well-established, 3G technology was becoming more prevalent and Telstra had recently announced the deployment of the world's first national network based on 3G technology using the 800MHz spectrum, commonly known as NEXTG. The deployment of 3G technology in this band introduce a new level of complex issues relating to interference between technologies and in-band passive intermodulation.

Fortunately, with the selection of the MobileAccess MA2000 solution, Enersus was able to provide a single-layer system capable of supporting all current and future wireless technologies. The MA2000 solution provides a fully integrated approach to managing interference and intermodulation. Unlike many other solutions, the MobileAccess product is single layered, meaning that the full range of wireless technologies can be supported on a single infrastructure. Enersus recognises that the MobileAccess solution is unique in the market, when complex spectrum management issues are of concern.

The completed system included over 23 x MobileAccess Remote Head Units, 140 x Enersus PIM Compliant Indoor Antennas and 3,000 metres of Huber & Suhner Low Loss 1/2" Sucofeed Coaxial Cable.
